As an artist over the summer, I joined an internship called The Nap Time Show. What is The Nap Time Show? The Nap Time Show is a kid tv show focusing on educating kids and most importantly, napping! 💤 No regrets to being a part of this worksite, I was able to make connections and learn so many things along side of working with art more.

My experience during the internship-

Throughout this internship, I was impressed by how a small idea turned into a huge project of success. Something I thought I’d never be interested in was making music. Making music will become to be a hobby of mines in today due to this internship. Laughing together and enjoying making up lyrics with each other inspired me to have those same moments again. Speaking of making up lyrics, I would be also be learning how to write script for my own episode!

I couldn’t be happier with myself or with the people I was surrounded with during this internship.

During this internship I was able to expand more of my knowledge of art, such as character design and photography. Character designing being what I was most passionate about, having the ability to bring my characters to life for the episode I created. I felt most proud making characters because this gave me the chance to strengthen my skills on making lovable and rememberable designs.

Along side with character designs I would take on the hobby of photographing scenario of my worksite in Detriot 📸. I would be encouraged to step outside my comfort zone and take of interest in other forms of art. I couldn’t be happier with myself or with the people I was surrounded with during this internship. This new hobby would open more opportunities for me to help me as an artist that loves to create.

Overall Experience -

My favorite moments cannot be written in this one blog because I enjoyed every bit of it hanging out with the sweetest people this summer. I’ve had so much fun goofing around but as well as developing this show more with them. Eating at new restaurants in the area, enjoying new parts of Downtown Detroit and making good connections throughout the summer. The one advice I can give to the people is to

step outside that comfort zone, I might find the greatest friends that way. Bloomberg Arts Internship.
