Something special is happening in The Nap Time Show® universe. The Nap Time Show's first book!
The Mister Boots Stories for Change initiative is officially relaunching — and this time, it’s bigger, deeper, and rooted in long-term impact through early literacy.
As part of Pour Forward’s “Early Literacy for Lifelong Success” core pillar, this initiative goes beyond simply giving away books. It’s about making literacy interactive, relational, and joyful. It’s about creating new ways for families, classrooms, and communities to extend their love for The Nap Time Show® beyond the screen and into shared reading experiences.
And we’re relaunching it with something very special:
Our very first children’s book, The Nap Time Adventure: Where It All Began.
This Is the Origin Story
Before the naps. Before the snacks. Before Tok 1.0 ticked on the wall.
This is the story of how Siesta and Bahb first met.
The Nap Time Adventure is more than a sweet prequel; it quite literally sets the emotional tone for The Nap Time Show®. It introduces the values that define the series: empathy, chosen family, listening closely, keeping promises, welcoming someone new, and finding calm after excitement.
The pacing mirrors the rhythm we intentionally design in the show: moving from high-energy moments into snack time and ultimately into rest. It models healthy transitions. It creates space for conversation. It invites children to notice feelings (their own and others’).
This is a story you pause with. Ask questions with. Act out. Revisit before quiet time.
And that’s exactly the point.
Stories for Change, Now Powered by Early Literacy
Mister Boots Stories for Change now lives fully inside Pour Forward’s literacy strategy. Through this initiative, we distribute books while also equipping caregivers and educators with tools to turn reading into connection and conversation.
When children see characters they recognize from The Nap Time Show inside a physical book, something powerful happens:
Reading becomes familiar. Reading becomes exciting. Reading becomes personal.
It transforms passive viewing into active literacy-building, strengthening vocabulary, empathy, narrative understanding, and social-emotional skills.
That’s why this work matters.

Expanding Across the Midwest
Pour Forward focuses its efforts on children throughout the Midwest.
In previous rounds, Mister Boots Stories for Change distributed books primarily across Southeast Michigan and the Twin Cities, Minnesota.
This time, we’re expanding our reach.
In addition to Detroit and Minneapolis–Saint Paul, we are especially eager to send books to communities working to strengthen early literacy outcomes, including:

Milwaukee, WI
Chicago’s South and West Side neighborhoods
