Why Fruit Snack Streams Isn’t the End of The Nap Time Show; It’s the Beginning of Something Bigger

When my dad first asked, “So… what happens to The Nap Time Show now that you’re focused on Fruit Snack Streams?” I’ll be honest, it caught me off guard.

I’d been moving so fast, building, pitching, testing, and problem-solving that I hadn’t stopped to think how it all might look from the outside. And from the outside? I get it. It probably looks like I’ve put The Nap Time Show on a shelf to chase something new.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth.
The truth is, Fruit Snack Streams was born to give The Nap Time Show (and everything Boone Productions creates) a real home. A sustainable home.
Because as beautiful as it’s been to create a show that kids and families love, producing The Nap Time Show the way we were was exhausting ME. I was the bottleneck for everything — writing scripts, directing scenes, editing footage, managing YouTube uploads, running social media — all while trying to make the numbers work. It was meaningful work, yes, but it was unsustainable.
That’s why Fruit Snack Streams matters so much. It’s not a replacement, it’s a restoration.

Through FSS, we get to take The Nap Time Show back to its roots: creating peaceful, thoughtful, developmentally sound media that supports children and the adults who care for them. We get to reach the very people who’ve seen our value the most all along: childcare providers.
Because now, The Nap Time Show isn’t just a YouTube series fighting an algorithm. The Nap Time Show is a flagship offering on a platform that truly needs it.
More support means:
✨ More episodes per season (with exclusive content for FSS subscribers)
✨ More efficient production — without cutting corners
✨ More fair pay for our amazing team and contributors
✨ More rest, joy, and creativity in the process
Yes, we’ve had to pause some production while laying the foundation for FSS. But the pause isn’t an ending! It’s a strategic inhale before the next big exhale.
And trust me, it will be a very big exhale.
"But HOW, Sierra??? We don't know HOW?"
A fully operational Fruit Snack Streams changes everything for The Nap Time Show. It means our episodes don’t just live on YouTube hoping and praying for views (or having to watch my own videos nonstop hoping that YouTube will pay me). Instead, with FSS our content is delivered directly into classrooms and childcare centers where they can truly serve their purpose. It means the content we’ve spent years refining can now live in a consistent ecosystem built around rest, transitions, and emotional wellness, NOT algorithms and ads. It means that instead of pouring months into a single release that struggles for traction, our work continues to generate impact and income every time a teacher presses “play.” In other words, the creative effort we put into The Nap Time Show finally pays off literally and spiritually.
And here’s the part that’s hard to say out loud but true: the old way wasn’t sustainable for me — or anyone. People sometimes ask, “Why not just keep doing things like before?” But that question doesn’t take my well-being into account. The truth is, I was doing the work of an entire studio alone — writing, filming, editing, animating (yes, I taught myself on Canva!), producing, managing partnerships, and still trying to pay myself last. That kind of grind creates resentment. And when bitterness seeps in, even beautiful work starts to lose its light. Building FSS isn’t just about scale, it’s about preserving my ability to keep loving this work for the long haul. I can’t pour into children’s rest if I’m never resting myself.
With Fruit Snack Streams, we’re building the infrastructure that will make the dream work. It’s the difference between hand-building every brick and finally having the machinery that can multiply the effort. It means being able to hire editors instead of burning out at 3 a.m. It means being able to film quarterly instead of sporadically. It means creating more opportunities for other Detroit artists and educators to be part of something world-class. But building something that’s never existed before — a streaming platform for early learning that supports both kids and caregivers — doesn’t happen overnight. Laying the foundation takes time, testing, and intention. So if things seem quiet right now, it’s only because the roots are growing deep.

When it blooms, it’ll be stronger than ever and The Nap Time Show will finally have the kind of home it always deserved. 🌱
The best version of The Nap Time Show (and of me) is coming. And when it does, it’ll be on a foundation built to last.
Thanks for your patience, your faith, and your understanding as we build something that will pour forward for years to come. (If you read this and found yourself wondering "what IS Fruit Snack Streams?" Check it out here and tell your local daycare about it!)
